Livermore Software Technology Corporation (LSTC) develops the commercial software LS-DYNA. The code’s origins lie in highly nonlinear, transient dynamic finite element analysis using explicit time integration. Typical uses include sheet metal stamping (www.lstc.com/products/ls-dyna) . More recently, an electromagnetic module was added for coupled mechanical/thermal/electromagnetic simulations. Magnetic metal forming and welding are some of the main applications of such coupling for which the code has been broadly and successfully used (www.lstc.com/applications/em/documentation)
