A major scientific focus of our Institute in terms of research and academic teaching is “forming technology and lightweight construction”. Furthermore, research and teaching activities do not only cover the whole range of forming technology aspects, sensor technology, measurement techniques, and applied information technologies, but also projects including e.g. working media based forming, high speed forming, curved profile extrusion (CPE), bending technologies, incremental sheet metal forming, thin sheet metal forming, and FEM process simulation.
