Electro-Magnetic Pulse Manufacturing Research Lab at Mechanical Engineering Department, IIT Guwahati is active in carrying out basic and applied research in the field of Electro-Magnetic Pulse Manufacturing. Its’ activities include Finite Element Analysis and Experimental studies on Electro-Magnetic Pulse Manufacturing. The research group has expertise in Electromagnetic Pulse Welding. Research and Development activities in the area of Electromagnetic Pulse Welding, Forming, Shearing and Joining by Forming are being carried out with the goal to develop an industrial application of Electro-Magnetic Pulse Manufacturing.
