8th I²FG Advisory Board and Plenary Meeting

On November 28 and 29, 2017, the 8th I²FG Advisory Board and Plenary Meeting were held at the IWF in Berlin, Germany. More than twenty members from Europe and the U.S. participated in the fruitful meeting. In the frame of the event, which was led by the chairs of the Advisory Board, Prof. Tekkaya and Dr. Psyk, the group initiated the writing of a comprehensive book on impulse forming technologies as well as a unified set of I²FG representation slides that will be publicly available soon. Furthermore, the results of the conducted modeling benchmark on electromagnetic compression were discussed and members gave interesting talks on diverse recent research developments within the group.
